Red

Color out of the Grayness

During the ten days that I was in Yorkshire,
I saw the sun twice
and then only through the windows.

By the time I was able to get out-of-doors,
it had vanished and been replaced
by gloomy, wind-driven rain.
In the omnipotent greyness seeing colour
can be quite therapeutic.

Perhaps,
this is why the cityscapes are often splashed
with its exuberance.
