From Behind These Eyes

There is nothing grand about any of these images.  Quite simply, they are the way that I see. When making pictures, I work at them until I find a comfortable perspective. They speak to me.  I make the picture. It is the way I see.

I feel that there is a Place behind these eyes where I am completely alone and have been so from my beginning.  It is the storage vault for my very first “experiences” and the first flutterings of who I have become now, and of who I will become in my final form.  From the imprint of my mother’s heartbeat, moods, fears and desires, and my dad’s constant struggle with the devils of grief and a youth swallowed by war, death and unimaginable sense of loss.  These messages received, and yet to come, are the foundation blocks of the person I have become.

Behind these eyes is the place where ideas, thoughts and the words which define them, come together to create meaning.. T’is my unique being. We each are born into it in a slightly different form.

No snow flake is like any other.

It is From Behind These Eyes.
